Eade, Can you also put up a list of addons you are using and recommending for MOP? That would be great, thanks.

Hey Eade, What is the current ETA on Power Auras 5.0? Sounds like we should just wait for that. Will it be out before Sept 25?

Thanks for the suggestion!
My goal is typically to use these two as often as possible. Arcane Torrent whenever off cooldown and I'm not completely mana topped off and same for Divine Plea if I can handle the debuff. So, with this philosophy I'm actually kinda looking for them to get rid of them and cast right away rather than holding in reserve.
If you'd like to guest on MyEpicHeals sometime let me know. You sound like somebody that has a passion for healing!

The descriptions on some of these are interesting enough for me to take a look. Most of them duplicate what I have configured, but I'm interested in different schemes.

I will suggest tying your Arcane Torrent and Divine Plea auras into a mana level check. Otherwise those auras are constantly visible. Constantly visible auras don't work well for me because I learn to ignore them. You can see an example of the mana condition check on my site: http://joeego.wordpress.com/power-auras/

I enjoy your discussions, never been a big podcast guy, but I like to take notes and think of new topics for my own site based on your podcasts. Visiting your blogroll makes me wonder why more heroic-mode Paladins aren't on the net blogging ....really quite a shocker to me with the community.

Considering next week are some big nerfs, if your looking for some heroic tips, I tend to focus on that aspect! Head on over and say hello ;)

I would almost go out on a limb and say healing is ALWAYS the highest pressure role to play in a raid... As far as Tanking goes your most likely going to mostly be paying attention to a few things, position, incoming DMG, and timing taunts. From a dps PoV the only real time your asked to step up and do something the other classes aren't is when there is an add burn or a specific assignment (I.E Transitions on Raganos). This makes these 2 roles VERY easy to play once the fight is on farm... I know tanks who on multiple fights... Get aggro... Have a sound effect for when certain debuffs fall off / stack up... So position yourself... Turn on TV... Taunt when dbm says taunt... Move out of fire when it yells at you.. Same thing as DPS, I don't know how
Many raids as a lock my eyes rarely looked at the monitor because I was content spamming my rotation and glancing at the screen every 15 - 20 seconds. As a healer, you have to play the game... Your playing wack a mole with green bars... Miss a mole? Well you just failed. If a dps'er missing a spell in his rotation meant a raid wipe... Bosses wouldn't die. It's okay though dps, you can sit there and spam 5 spells at with no negative impact for casting the wrong one, while one missclick by me will cost the raid a wipe, dps wouldn't no responsibility if it were fire under there ass... They would probably stand in it. Oh and if someone else makes a mistake? Well that's the healers job to cover that up, not the dps... Not the tank. Healer. A role where watching power rangers and playing at the same time is a legitimate strat, will never come close to the effort required to heal well.... This isn't an opinion it's just the truth.

(Tanking even more so with the recent threat buff)

indeed. I remember many new fights where I finished oom in the middle of them or where the tank was dying quickly, with me sweating to frenetically try to keep him alive, and now they seem to be soooo easy...and it s not just the stuff, but simply knowning what happens when, how, ...I do conserve my mana better, use my cooldowns at the right time, etc....

the big difference with dps: if they do a bad rotation their dps will be low, but nobody will notice it was not enough unless there is the enrage at the end...for healers, if one of them is "a bit too low" => WIPE.

If you want to build vital spark quickly you should use FoL (better HPS than Divine Light) instead of HoL when player have 14+ stack of torment. Using holy shock and WoG with 1 HoP early will also help you building stack faster.

50 stack @ 2min is very very low: a SP can solo handle a full cristal with good usage of dispersion (~19 stacks) and HoSac or PS (at ~14stacks). Spamming heal him will let you have 80+ stacks after the first cristal...

That amount of stack will allow you to use divine plea early and judge more before your second healing phase, then reach 150 stack and afk on boss, gg :)

Flump is another great CD crier. It auto calls out anyone in your raids usage of important CDs but filters out via HP/Mana minimums healers and tank usage.

Highly recommend.

Good post Eade, and even better picture of you :-p
I too definitely noticed the bump in WoG. Only thing that somewhat concerned me was that it seems like Blizzard is pushing us back to being Tank Healers. Reason being, last two nights in Firelands I was 90% of the time BoL OT while focus healing MT due to 100% transfer of HL's. I pretty much can heal both tanks now while tossing DL's when necessary. Cautiously I would help out with Raid using my AoE heals. So where does this put our ToR talent?? I am actually considering removing it. Your thoughts ?
