Are y’all running the stopgap version of Power Auras or have y’all switched to Weak Auras? One of my favorite aspects of my yet to be released 5.0 Power Auras is a female voice saying “shield” whenever sacred shied drops off my focus target. You can find (and download) it here:

Without Glyph of Divine Plea you gain 12% of your total mana over 9 seconds, but you must deal with your healing spells being reduced by 50% for 9 seconds. Without the glyph you must be confident that 9 seconds of 50% healing is safe. Not bad as we know there are plenty of rest periods built into fights. But, there are many more potential rest periods that may or may not provide you with the 9 seconds you need. With the Glyph of Divine Plea you have 5 seconds you must channel the spell, but if trouble crops up you interrupt the spell with no penalty. Just try again later. I have a power aura posting a graphic such that I know when Divine Plea is ready and knowing I can interrupt the spell I can try to sneak it in risk-free again and again. The result is that I’m casting it pretty quickly once it’s ready. I’ve raided with and without Glyph of Divine Plea and I absolutely love it. Can you hear the wedding bells?

Unfortunately, I have no information on when we’ll have a new version of Power Auras. Here’s what I can track down from the authors: “The official 5.0 release will be ready in a couple of weeks time for general testing.” Again unfortunately, this message hasn’t changed for over a week.  Worse case scenario we’ll all be switching to Weak Auras. I’m a big fan of Power Auras Classic so let’s keep our fingers crossed.

Good news: My new Holy Paladin Power Auras are working fantastically!
Bad news: I’m running PA 5.0 RC 3 which was pulled.
Solution: If Power Auras 5.0 would officially be released all would be well, I assume.
There is no export/import on PA 5.0 RC 3 and I don’t know where or even if it makes sense for anybody to look for it.
We can wait for Power Auras 5.0.
I can go back and write auras for the temporary version of Power Auras that’s out now.
I could write auras for Weak Auras instead.

Hey you crazy pally cats. I have all my new patch auras setup with the Power Auras beta version that has been pulled.
You can find a version of Power Auras that will work:

But if you’re interested checking out my auras you’ll have to wait for the upgrade of Power Auras. I worked some with Weak Auras, didn’t like the fact graphics must be scaled manually and that opacity is not scale-able. Hopefully, it won’t be much longer…

I’m updating my 19 or Power Auras by simultaneously upgrading to the new Power Auras and using Weak Auras. I’ll report back within 48 hours!
